Which me? In moments of crisis or despair the answer would be yes. When "myself", I realize that I remember nothing of the past and have no idea what the future may hold.

I know that I exist now. But since I exist now, I must have existed before, for existence does not come out of non-existence, and also I must exist in the future, for existence cannot pass into non-existence. The desire for non-existence, not for eternal existence,is make-believe.

I am very thankful for my life and I can understand why someone might say they would rather not exist but I think given enoth time people will realize love and existance are good things.

1-One can't compare having never existed, with now. That's a contradiction in term.

But restate the question like "do you like to live" or like in the song "do you know where your going to...do you like the things life is showing you".

2-Answering this question is a proof that i do enough to not having committed suicide. But there is a big taboo on saying "i don't like to live". But to those i ask ..."then why are you still here"?

3-For those not answering your question, you know the probable answer....they answered your question by spontaneously jumping out of their window.

Yes. I do not like being confined to this pitiful, useless body.

It is very limiting, does the opposite of what needs to be done, and is severely ignorant.

I would much rather be ethereal and bodiless so that I can go around the entire universe huggin and kissin everyone who needs it. As I now stand, this is not possibile.

Woe is me and woe is ye!

If I remember correctly, this question was put to 10 eminent philosophers around 20 years ago in Time magazine article.
Nine of the philosophers answered that they would have definitely preferred NOT to have been born. The other philosopher, the one who said he would have preferred to have been born, committed suicide 6 months after being asked the question.
From my own personal viewpoint, I would have preferred not to have been born.

Absolutely. Because I wouldnt have known what I was going to miss for all eternity when I died!

Neitzsche got it right when he said that it would have been the greatest boon to have never been born.

Generally no, but there have been moments when I felt so miserable that I wished I didn't exist.
