What we do without Uncle Sam - yes - even I have to admit the UK would be F'kd if we didnt have U.S back-up... But - people are starting to think Uncle Sam is Evil... & he only wants to steal your Oil...is this True or a Load of Bollock's ... Would you reject Aid from America..

The problem with the US sometimes is that we intend to help people, but end up making a mess, like in Vietnam, or now in Iraq. And we can be too nosey and bossy.

Lord G, I think you got the bit about the UK wrong - if the USA didnt have the UK as backup, they would be fckd! UNless you are going as far back as world war 2 and then yes they would have been fkd!!
Dont forget the US government started this affair in Iraq not the UK government.
Thats why in the past they had airbases and nuclear weapons based in the U and still have troops and bases here now.
Its true that the US wants to control the middle east cos of the oil.
Some countries have rejected aid from the US in the past but if you need help, I say take it!

Not sure it is Uncle Sam! In many ways he seems to be ok.
As an American, some of that government guarding of our health seems to do some good sometimes. I think our government really cares, not sure I could explain how, but I do.
It's the groups operating behind the government, to control things that I worry about.
But like they say in the U.K., just for sayin' so, I could wind up in the Drink!
And I don't mean the Spirits!
