i was fixing my tongue ring in the bathroom stall at wal mart when it fell out and landed in the toilet. I went to the hardware dept. and borrowed some tools from the store (that I didnt pay for....was only borrowing) to dismantle the toilet in the middle stall. after losening the toilet from the floor i broke a pipe and flooded the restroom, the hair salon and photo shop. Wal Mart is tryin to make me pay for it and i dont think i should have to because my tongue ring i got as a gift was in their toilet. can i get some advice on this ?

you need to pay for the damage you caused..who in their right mind would have dismantled a public toilet anyways? the tongue ring might have been a gift, but it would have been better to let it go versus destroying public property..you are at fault here, not Wal Mart..

Isn't it your fault for not taking precautions against losing the tongue ring? It isn't Wal-Mart's fault for having a toilet in the bathroom, is it? And you chose to rip apart the toilet, didn't you? I mean really, you can't blame whoever is around for your mistake. Wouldn't you feel unhappy if someone dropped something in YOUR toilet and wrecked it trying to recover said item?

You vandalized their property. An honest person would have went to the management and told them that a peice of your jewellery went down the toilet. You deserve to pay.
