Happiness for me is knowing that someone cares about me and in return I care about others. I get my happiness and pleasure from helping others achieve their goals in life, it is the best feeling in the world. However if I am sick or in need, it is nice to know that someone is concerned about me. In the world there are mainly 2 types of people: givers and takers. The givers are the good people of this world and it is what I always choose to be. This gives me all the happiness I need or could possibly ever want, after this everything else is secondary.

I believe that true happiness comes from being less self-preoccupied. In today's mordern world too many people regrettably are so over-concerned about themselves, their money, how they look, will they find the right career and so forth. The greatest joys I have found came after I gave up trying to be something. It is a zen attitude of nonjudgmental doing and being.

seriously...what makes me happy is when i get an email from a friend i haven't talked to in a long time or meeting up with someone randomly. also, i like when people do random acts of kindness for others, like holding the door, helping someone pick something up, or even just smiling at a stranger. those are the things that make me happy.

Trying to figure that out now, I know for sure it's not marriage. I guess a relationship with God through his Son Jesus and pursuing my ambitions.

My wife and kids. There's nothing that has ever, and I mean ever brought me more happiness. Not drugs, not drinking, not sex. The real deal.
