I have a plastic shower faucet handle -- It a one-handled shower, but it has two levels/knobs... the first plastic knob turns on the water and a second knob directly behind it controls the temp. The first knob split in two and fell off -- leaving the temp. knob and a metal screw that sticks out (we currently use pliers to turn the water on and off). Can I replace just the plastic handle (without having to purchase a whole new shower faucet)??? Any idea where I can find handles-only (esp. this older plastic type)???

Thanks so so much!

Take a flat head screw driver pop the tab in the middle of the thing out take and appropriate screwdriver and take the screw out. Handle will pull off maybe a little resistance. Put a new one on just use the instructions I gave you backward any hardware store carries these there standard. Piece of cake

Skip the trip to Lowes or Home Depot - go to a plumbing supply store. You will need to know the brand name.
