Yes, but not because of the deed itself. Negative actions and comments show the underlying personality of a human, and people who are like that have problems in life, whether social or economical.

i believe there is a system of action / reaction or cause and effect that governs our lives. everything you do, or have done will be the cause of a later effect. sometimes the effects are less than pleasant. but i don't see this as "punishment" . this is how we grow and evolve to become higher in every level- ethically, emotionally and spiritually.

Yes, we all will be punished one way or the other after doing something bad. And when we die and go to heaven, we will be punished again for good.

i think that if you do something wrong then it will eventually come back to get you... even if you do something that nobody ever knows about, you will still feel bad about it... thus punishing yourself!
