Yes, you most likely will be eligible for government assistance. As long as you are single and/or make under a certain amount a month, it should be no problem. I'm not single, but my fiance and I weren't married yet, so I just applied as a single mom and I made about $1400 a month, paying $760/month for rent and I still was eligible for MediCal here is California (Sort of like California's form of Medicare for this type of situation.) I'm not sure what it's called in Idaho, but visit your local department of health and human services and they should be able to help you. It's a lot of paperwork, so I suggest you do it as soon as possible. I applied for it and it took about 45 days to get approved and see a doctor. I didn't have to pay for anything my whole pregnancy. They paid for all of my doctors visits, ultrasound, delivery (including pain medication and an epidural), hospital stay, and any medications I would need including prenatal vitamins. Also, your baby will be covered up to age 1.
Good luck! :)

Don't worry about having no insurance, many do not. There are some hospitals that work with you. I'm not sure about Idaho, but here in Indiana, St Vincent will work with the un-insured and under-insured. Not all St. Vincents, but the one I'm going to does. Just call any hospital and I'm sure they will be able to tell you if they can help you or not. Good Luck!

Go to your local Department of Human Services. Ask for an application and take proof that you are pregnant, a letter from you local Planned Parenthood or Health Department will do. Fill out all the info and turn it in. More than likely you will be able to receive medicaid for you pregnancy and your baby.

In most states you would likely be eligible for Medicaid. Contact first your local University medical centre and register at a Resident clinic (if there is a Medical School near you) - they will help you get enrolled in Medicaid.
If not near a University Medical Centre check with your local Medicaid office

I used to live in Idaho, and sister in law was on assistance.
Just gather all your necessary papers together:
1)tax returns~I am not sure how far back;
2)all photo identifications
3)all the father's information, including SS#, and their wherabouts.
4)you're already working, which is what they want, and you qualify as you make 7/hr. which is not enough to support you alone, much less you and your baby.
5)you have to provide info of your apt lease, and get your landlord to maybe fill something out and sign it, or if you live with parent/guardian, you have to get them to fill out/sign something.
**Go to Social Services in the county where you live and fill out an applic.; that's the first step, then you'll meet with a case worker.
Good luck...

Not sure about your state, but in NY, you can get full assistance(medicaid) as soon as you become pregnant. It ends a few months after u give birth. But the baby gets ut until he/she turns a year old.
Good luck.

Do like the Mexicans, when its time just bring the whole damn family, all thirty of them to the er, hang out and have another kid. I'm sorry but its what they do, and that's why you can't afford health insurance. Because they are driving up the cost of health care by the millions.
