I don't know if you have kids but they are sometimes exasperating in their demands and needs. Sometimes it's best to tell a little lie to get the child to cooperate and act properly. Classic examples are Santa Claus and the tooth fairy.

Without knowing more about the particular lie and the child, it's hard to say more. However, if you are a mom shuttling three young children around, a little bending of the truth can mean the difference between getting through the day and a nervous breakdown.
