Tough choice with 2 amazing films that came out in '06...
first up, Idiocracy, awesome movie, funny on the surface but with a definite point that's not funny, but imperative to the human condition and survival...
and then there is
A Scanner Darkly
woefully underrated look at the near future if things keep going as they are...and who the real enemies are....beautifully rotoscopein, wonderful cast, and reeves actually acted! not just rehashed his lines from bill'n'ted again ("like...woah" anybody?)

Well it won't be out on DVD until the 16th I believe but if you like comedy..Employee of the Month is great :) (It is with Jessica Simpson, Dane Cook and Dax Sheppard)
Another good comedy is Talladega Nights with Will Farrell
