It would appear to me that if you advertised that you were the "Tailor who Enhances the clothes" plus size women want to wear. You would be in a better position. Like the other person was trying to say is that you can use what you already have and then expand into the design and production of clothing. Maybe even you own line. ;)

I would start out by asking for volunteers if you are looking to change from "normal" to "plus" sized girls. Our curves are different and we look for styles that are different from other people. I would say start with friends so you've got some idea of how you are doing things or if starting with other people only make a small profit (like cost of supplies plus 5% not the imediate 25-50% profit that people are looking for). The more people and more experiance you get the more you can charge... but beware, with stores like Lane Bryant and Torrid popping up, it isn't too hard to get fasionable clothing without a high price tag. But there are occasions were I have to have something made because it just doesn't cut it otherwise. :) Good Luck

its harder to find clothes that fit plus sized women right, so if youre a good seamstress that could make clothes that look good on bigger women, then i think it might be a profitable business for you. it depends on where you live though, some places have a low population of plus sized women and some, like houston, have a larger population

ooooh yes plus size girls dont usually find cloths that are stylish AND fit them right so it would be cool to have somebody make cool clothes, that are stylish and fit them right

That's sweet. But how will you get your buisness started if your not making any money? Where will you get the money to pay for the supplies?
