I was engaged 4 months after meeting my husband. If he is the right one for you don't spend too much time trying to explain it to other people. You have met the person for you. There will not be any reason for you to second guess yourself. Honestly, you can be with a person for years and not know them. So, the time frame in my veiw isn't important.

I "knew" my bf was the one for me, we knew for years. Things started to go sour and very bitter. Things seem so much different. there are times i am thankful we didn't go and get married, We almost did and i think omg what would have happened? we still have our problems and i am glad i didn't get married yet, I still feel after 6 years together going on 7 that i still need to know him! I say wait at least a year or two. Why rush? you still will be together and who knows maybe then plans and wedding preparations will end up being better, bigger, and the best! If you are going to be together forever then what's the rush to the altar for?

Age is a factor. If you are young and have many years ahead Think twice. If alcohol or drugs are involved think again. If you are older, no drugs or alcohol and time is passing swiftly and your biological clock keeps ticking. It might be better to marry quickly. I did marry someone I met less than 2 months after I met him. I`m still with him 27 years later, times were rough. We made it. How??? Sometimes.... I wonder.

i think you should wait. i know how you feel though! the thing you have to think about is what is it about marrage that you have to have so badly right now? will the relationship change after you get married? is he the same as your 1st husband? if your relationship is so great right now, why would you want to change it in any way? live together first before you promise to stay with him until death! i'm only 20 years old, never been married, have had one boyfriend, however, my mom and dad are getting divorced and my mom is seeing this guy, has been for about 6 months, she could see herself married to this guy, but she likes things the way they are...besides....what's the rush? and you don't want to get into a sticky situation...don't screw yourself over! just wait

I myself moved in with my husband after knowing him for three months. But I cant say I dont think of what would have happened if he turned out to be a murderer or some kind of lunatic. You never know. I look back at the decision I made back then and think of how stupid I was. Well we have been married for 10 yrs and although I was lucky with my decision not everyone is.

I suggest giving it a year! Personally, I felt the same at 5 months and it worked out perfect. BUT, for everyone one good example there are at least 5 bad ones. There is an old saying that you should be together for at least one of every season before marrying.
Good luck! :)

Go for it. You know yourselves best of all and if you are ready. But, if there are children involved, maybe proceed with extra caution.
Either way, do some pre marital counselling so you can start your marriage on a solid foundation!
Good luck!

I would wait if I were you. If he's really the one, he'll still be the one a year from now when you know each other better.
