If your boyfriend/girlfriend went through your closet and searched beneath piles of clothes and books just to read your personal journal when you weren't around. What do you do? What do you say to that person?

I'd be upset if they read it, and furious if they'd dug through my belongings to find it (bad enough if they read it if it was sitting out in the open)...

Discuss the issue of privacy with them and trust...depending on their responses, they may not be boy/girlfriend material anymore...

It depends. If you think you can handle somebody else knowing your life like that then there won't be a problem. The only problem is loosing the purpose of your journal. It serves as the most private part of your life. You'd be loosing that very secret to your sister. The only benefit I can see is that you'll probably form a connection with your sister through these secrets which your journal contains. If it has any secrets to begin with.

I would be totally mad! i mean, seriously, what do they need to find out from my journal that they can't ask ME about??!?!? Seriously, i wouldn't dump them or anything, i would just say, "Why didn't you just ask me, i am honest with you, you can trust me. And please, don't go through my stuff without asking like that! What the hell is wrong with you?" I would be mad for a long time.

this is a betrayal of trust. and you would do well to look a bit closer at the relationship, any one that will stoop that low will never trust you, so why are you with them. If they can not ask you straight out and accept your answer then they would be history in my book

that is very disrespectable of a person to do that.
u tell them to respect your belongings and not bother
your stuff.
give the person a warning and say how would u like it if the cards
were turn and i went thru your stuff.
anyway, dont worry about it.
