I was in this same ordeal...I got pregnant and it took me two weeks, after I found out, to tell my mom...lets just say I had the most fear of my mom at the time I saw the positive ept test...I was more worried what she was going to say to me then what I was going to do with a baby...I finally got the courage to tell her and she was very understanding...(even my friends were worried that she would go crazy on me) But if I wouldn't have told her I would have ended up having more things to deal with then I could handle...She went to every doctor appointment...she would sit on the floor and we would watch tv while she had her hand on my belly waiting for my daughter to kick or move. My mom was a young mother and her whole life she hoped I would never be in that situation...we shared in my pregnancy and became even closer then we had ever before...she never had time to be happy about her pregnancies.
I am scrapbooking my daughters life and I asked my mom what her reaction was and she said she was more disappointed because I chose to hide it from her, and she was sad because she thought we were more open with each other then that, she was also hurt because she was not the first to know.
Give your mom the chance to know, she may surprise you!

Tell your mother so she can help you through the pregnancy...and give her time to get over the fact that you're pregnant BEFORE you're suddenly in labor. If you're worried about telling her, I assume this is a surprise, unplanned pregnancy. In that case, you need her help even more. Beside, it's not like you're going to hide it from her forever, and the longer you DO hide it, the more you have to explain ("Why didn't you tell me earlier?") so tell her now!

How old are you? How far along? If you are young and less than 2 months along I might not mention it yet. The risk of miscarriage is still there. Once 3-4 months though you have to fess up.

Face your fears and tell her. Do it for the baby's well being, you're going to be fine.

You need to tell her. You need to start receiving prenatal care immediately.
