It can't get lost in you. The cervix which leads to the uterus is hard and tightly closed; therefore a tampon could not get in. Therefore the only other place for the tampon to go is out your vagina.

If the string should "disappear" and you can't feel it on the outside, you can squat so you can feel the entire length of your vagina, and you will be able to "find" the tampon.

Start with slender tampons and make sure to insert them far enough so they aren't partially hanging out. You'll be able to get it back out when you need to. :)

Some people forget one is in, put another in, and the first is forgotten until "the smell" comes along. The tampon doesn't float around in the body, but gets stuck up by the cervix at the end of the vagina. Left there, it can cause you to get very sick. Other than that, I don't know of wild tampons loose in the body. Read the box.

No, I promise it can't. Your muscles keep it in place. Once the tampon is in, you can't feel it (if you can and it's uncomfortable, it's not in right). It can't go anywhere but out, even if it wanted to.

Tampons are awesome! :)

No. If you don't leave the string out, it can be difficult to dig out from up inside your vagina, but it's not going to travel around in your body.
