I'm getting ready to purchase a Tivo system and with so many choices, I wanted to see what everyone that has one thinks. I take it the 2 tuner is best but should I go with the 80 hour hard drive or 160?

definitely go with the dual tuner

something just came to me about your 80/160 question........i live alone and 80 is more than enough, but if you have 3 other people in the house with you, maybe the 160 is a good idea

I don't know about brands but if your cable company can rent you one, they will provide support in case you need help with it. Make a list of your fav shows, and consider how much time you spend watching tv, and if anyone else in the home will be using your tivo. That will help you determine about the 80 or 160 hour drive. 80 is good enough for me, since I erase everything I watch.
Dual tuner is a must, lest you get stuck watching whatever you're recording (that defeats the purpose)

I unfortunately have only 35 hours of recording time on my TiVo.(bought an older one from my sister). Thank goodness for the DUAL tuner...it can record on one while you're watching another.....I'd get as many hours of recording hours as you can afford!

- In this case....MORE IS BETTER : ) ~have fun
