It will probably skip alot because it has a hard drive in it, not like the removable memory of other MP3 players.

I also have a 30GB Ipod and I run with it many times. You can if you get the cover that you put in your legs or in your arms, if you buy it and use im sure that it wont hurt it, I have a normal cover for it and it doesnt get even a removable scratch when I run with. If you buy it a cover the ipod will not suffer damage at all. But if it is that you are worring that it may skip, it doesnt because I heard that it has something that prevents it from skipping.

no it won't because i have a 30gb zen vision m and it has the same memory i dropped it and it still works like a champ so yeah go with the 30gb ipod, although the zen vision is way better beacuse it has a better video playback and you can put your own wallpaper, people just buy ipods cause of society, and it has a 97 decibel audio playback while the ipod has 82 db,so choose which one you want

I run all the time with my 30gig iPod. I've never had any problems. Hard drive style mp3 players (as opposed to flash memory types) are more prone to damage from dropping them, but not running. Just get a cover for it that also secures it to your arm or waist, and you'll be fine.

The best thing to do is invest in a safe case with a belt clip-on. This way you can speed up but the iPod is still safe.
They're available at the Apple store for around $20.

No, it shouldn't hurt it unless you drop it or something (duh)!
Actually, you might want to look into an armband for your ipod so you can run while your iPod is on your arm!
It's just a suggestion!
Hope it helps!

No, not unless you drop it or anything. I run, jump, and even danced[i dance fast] with my 30gig video. It doesnt skip or anything. It will be fine as long as you dont drop it or anything becuase there is a hard drive that could break but it's made pretty sturdy so you will be fine.
