So I pulled the crank out of an engine I bought, and I haven't the slightest clue if its a 350 or 400 crank. There is a few markings on it, but nothing that has drawn any conclusions. The number on it is 932442 and it also says gm12 on it. Thats about all I can find. Where should I be looking for this number? Anybody have any idea what this thing is?

look on your plate on the left hand side of your block and it will tell you which motor you have.there should be a machined plate with numbers on it, call the gm dealers garage and they will tell you what it is. My husband owns a car lot and he said to tell you this!
