the earth is gaining size by a average fo 40 tons per day from space dust alone .. not including the 20,000 -30,000 shooting stars...particles from 1 mm to 6 inches that also fall every day

Actually, the earth did shrink as a result of the earthquake in Indonesia and consequently the earth's rotation increased and the day has shortened by 1/3,000,000 seconds everyday.
