NO WAY! It's one of the earlier Beatles songs! No way should he retire it from his concerts.
I saw Paul in concert the night of my daughter's wedding. My best friend (since second grade) called and said, "Oh, no, Paul's concert is the same day as XXX's wedding!" I said, "Relax, the wedding is in the morning, the concert is at night." She said, "Oh, I didn't think about that. Thank heavens!"
Trust me, she probably would have gone to the concert, or if she did attend the wedding while the concert was going on, her mind wouldn't have been on the wedding, and I'd still be feeling guilty to this day! LOL! She's Paul's biggest fan, for sure!
As Newt says, you had to be there. There's no way for young people today to get the feelings we had when the Beatles first arrived on the scene. Go listen to a few songs from the fifties, then listen to the early Beatles songs, and you'll at least get an idea of what we mean.
Hugs--

Lots of old men think their teen years were the best. Especially with their female relationships. Plus the song is a potboiler to young an old alike.

It's just a song, I think it's ok for him to sing it. I don't personally like the song but let em' sing it if he wants.
