Play the poopie diaper game! You get newborn diapers and melt different chocolate candy bars in them and then pass them around and everyone has to guess which candy bar is in which diaper...they can smell and taste little bites. It is so gross and tons of fun! GOOD LUCK!

Here are some ideas!!
Good Themes:
Safari (giraffes, elephants, lions, hippos, etc)
Frogs
Ducks
Good Shower Accesories
DIAPER CAKE (makes a great centerpiece for the gift table and doubles as your gift to mom!!)
PRIZES for games (themed gift baskets are always great. "Home Movie Night" prize basket: blockbuster gift certificate, microwave popcorn, Movie Theatre style candy, and a couple bottles of soda!!. "Spa" prize basket: bath salts, salt scrub, loofah, a couple of scented candles.) Picture frames are nice prizes, too!!
GAMES
"Name that tune". Go to Target or WalMart and buy one of their instramental lullabye CDs. Play the first ten (or so) seconds of the lullabyes and have the guests guess what the lullabye is. Winner gets a prize!!
Guess how many diapers are in the diaper cake!! Closest guess wins a prize!!
Blindfolded diaper change. Have the guests blindfolded and have them change and re-diaper a doll. The guest with the quickest time and most efficient job....wins a prize!!
FOOD
If you have the shower in mid-afternoon you can just do snacks and punch. Veggies and dip. Cheese and crackers. Lighter fare. You should probably also serve a dessert.....cake is always good (have a local grocery store do it in a theme that matches your shower theme!!) Don't forget to offer up a toast to the new family!!
OTHER ACTIVIES:
Gather up birthday cards for the first few birthdays (one for each guest attending). Have them fill the cards out for the baby....and give those to the mother to hold onto and give to her child at each of those birthdays. This is a great thing to do.....especially if older family members are attending!! Very sentimental for mom-to-be!!
Go around in a circle and have each guest say what it is they are most looking forward to about this new baby....(ie: holding him, seeing if they have mommy's beautfiful smile, seeing those little toes.....) Really invite the guests to share THEIR excitement about this new little baby. So many showers focus on the presents.....and not the shared excitement over this new little baby.
I love baby showers.....good luck and HAVE FUN!!!

I went to one recently and the girl hosting it had the cutest idea! She bought plain white cotton onesies ranging in size from new born to 15 month old, she had a rainbow selection of sharpies and we picked a plain onesie and drew on them. Some had phrases, some had personal jokes, other had cute pictures drawn. It was so much fun and a neat Idea. If you do it though play around with the sharpie and the cloth because it will bleed and you have to press lightly not hold and write hard.

a great game...take diapers and pour differnet melted chocolate bars in them and pass them around (have them numbered with the correct answers written down) and see who can guess the most correct answers..also another game...set a timer every 5 or 6 minutes and whose ever gift the mommy to be is opening gets a door prize....ppl pay way more attention to mommy when they think something might be coming their way instead of talkin about random stuff...and another great idea...have ppl bring books instead of cards( instead of wasting 3 dollars give the book inscribed with the name of the loved one giving the gift with a sweet message) you could write that in the invites so everyone knows...and last but not least have some people bring dinners that can be frozen...ie lasanga, homemade pizza, easy for the new parents to stick in during week 2 when they dont have as many visitors or help but are still really tired.....you could write that as an option on the invites too...("if anyone is interested in bringing a little something extra for the baby please feel free to bring an easily frozrn dinner so ............ can have some yummy food while she nurishes her bundle of joy) have a cooler ready with ice so it stays cold during the party...good luck

Do Pooh and friends, or Ducks, or maybe teddy bears. My theme is Pooh and friends from the begining and I know now that I'm having a boy, it fit's either way. A light green and a light yellow.
