I'm a Oakland fan and I hate the Broncos but I feel bad for Williams and his family cause I know how it is to lose people you care about like that.

i'm not much of a Broncos but i really cared when i heard about Darrent Williams was shot and killed. I felt so bad for his family and the Broncos organization.
and what really bothered me was that one of my friends was a huge Broncos fan and he didnt care at all that Darrent Williams was shot and killed.
so to answer your questions, yes i think it's cruel not to care even if it doesnt personally affect a person. its a huge loss to the NFL and to many lives.

People have short memories, cherriez. If it did not happen 10 minuets ago they forget. If it does not happen to them, most people don't care. I feel your pain,he was a good kid and had the potential to be one of the greats. I don't even like the Broncos but I have to say his loss deeply troubled me. I replied to your first question on this because I could see how much it affected you. God has a funny way of doing things sometimes, I also wounder why?

Yes, it is cruel not to care. But not because it was a Bronco player that died. We should care because it was a 24 yr. old man who died wayyy before he should have. And we have hundreds of other 24 yr old men and women dying before their time on our streets as well.
That's why we should care, no matter if we're a Bronco Fan (I'm not, go Pats!) or not a Bronco Fan. His death is sad, and shouldn't have happened.

Football player or not its sad anytime anyone gets cut down in their prime, but especially when they had such a great life to look forward to. It is very cruel not to care that parents lost a son, and someone probably lost their brother (idk if he was an only child or not) and certainly that team lost a good friend and a great player(so Im told, I cant remember ever seeing him play)
Unfortuantely some people are just retards and if its not their friend its not their problem, people will always be like that and its sad.

yes it is, regardless of whether or not people know who he is they should still have some kind of reaction, i know when i hear someone has passed and i don't know who it is i ask who it is and then say i'm very sorry to hear that and my thoughts are with the family. it's common decency you don't have to cry your eyes out but just show respect for the deceased.

If you dont know who died, then how is it cruel?
I dont know the guy you are talking about, but if he died, Im sure his family and fans are also sad, so why focus on people who dont know him to care about him?
