Is there a way to check available free space on PC hard disk. I am running windows XP.

Yes.
Go to My Computer -> Right Click your Main Drive (C:\) -> Click Properties Then it will have a pie chart and on top it will say Free Space: ---------- GB and Used Space: --------------GB

My_Computer>C:\ then right click on the drive, select properties, and it will show you what space is left in a Pie Chart :)

Double click "My Computer" on the desktop, right click on the drive you want to check space for, select "Properties".

click on "my computer" icon then on the page there will be a pic of c drive and d drive ,right click on it and choose propertys and it should show u a wee pie chart! happy new year!

dbl click my computer and then change the view to "Details" to see all free space on your drives.

goto my computer and select the drive u want to check and it will tell u
