I have a piece that is pre-1900's and I am trying to get in contact with someone who can help me get a value on it. It is a F.W.& R King mathematic instrument/nautical compass. It is made of solid brass and in good condition. I can only find one hit on the internet. I am hoping it is an original, but no sure. If anyone can give me some info. on how to find an internet site or in contact with someone who can give me another route to follow, I would appreciate it. My email address is crystalsrat&yahoo.com. Thank you

It depends on the size, condition, and looks don't you think they are going to use the compass to actually sail.
What is it a compass, a sextant, or an horizontal bearing.
