I want to find the best sate to buy or build a home. What state is the cheapest . Also, what state is the best buy for your money?

Roughly, the price per square foot of the house you'll buy will be between..... oh,... maybe in the range of $5/sf to about $500/sf... roughly.

you need to re asses your question.
each state has variable costs. each state has variable style of life, variable quality of life.
the best state for my money would not be best for you.
