well, i like to make jokes a lot and a lot of people think i'm very funny. I don't enjoy making really crude jokes but my close friends think i am halrious. i try to be funny to make others feel good and myself too. the problem is that a lot of times when i make a joke a preppier person or anyone really, will look at me like i'm a complete idiot. Its a bit akward for me and i get made fun of actually a lot. i'm just a 15 yr old grl. it wouldn't even be that big of a deal except for the fact that nobody likes me before they "get to know me" i guess. I've met TWO people who have not told me that they hated me before they knew me! do you think it's because i put myself out there? is it bad that i think i'm weird? is there something wrong with me? ahh!

No, you are so not weird! You're just in high school with many people who are just trying to fit in themselves and sometimes their way of doing it, is to be destructive and to make others feel bad about themselve to make them feel better.
Actually, the things that you think are "weird" about yourself now, will later be an asset to you in the real world. I'm quite sure that Bill Gates classmates thought he was "weird" too. And I know that Robin Williams classmates thought that he was a total dork. I know because one of his former classmates told me that everyone thought he was really, really weird! Well, look at how he turned out!! Movie star!!
Just be yourself and enjoy your close friendships. We all just have a few close friends anyway who we can truly depend on and who truly care about us. Some of the so called "popular" kids seem like they have it all. In reality, they are really just as insecure as you.
Join all the groups and school activities that you can and work very hard in your school work, so that you can go on to college and become successful. That is where your quirky sense of humor will truly be appreciated.

I don't think you are weird! I think that everybody is going to have have different opinion of you because you can not be liked by everyone! No matter how funny or nice or whatever you are, there will always be people that will not like you - just like you may not like everybody even if they are actually nice - try not to take it personally it's not because there is anything wrong with you! I think a lot of people think they are weird - we are all so different! Be yourself and you will have true friends and that is what matters - who cares about the rest!!

Sometimes its hard to get to know other people and making a joke breaks the ice, people sometimes dont understand you joke or have the same kind of humour appreciation as you and then they think your wierd, hey weird is good anyway, who wants to be the same old boring joe?
You sound a lot like me where people who dont know you you think dont like you, dont worry, Im sure the friends you do have just love you thats more important, not everyone will like you in life....

we need more people in the world who have the gift of making people laugh, but unfortunately if a person does not know you & you start making jokes, they may be a little uneasy. Do not change who you are! Maybe you will grow up to be a professional comedian!

all comedians are "weird". And they use it to their advantage. Keep being who you are, study comedy, and when you start making money doing what you do, you can laugh all the way to the bank, while those stuck-up preppies have their noses in the air, they'll be jealous. Learn some funny "put downs" for those snobs, and learn to have a tough skin.

Who defines weird?
The only thing you should worry about is if you like yourself. If you do, great. If you don't, try to change the things you don't like. But never change just because you think society or other people think you should.

Yes, you are weird, just like everybody else. Don't get too caught up in the "does he/she like me" rut. Live to please yourself, first. Others will like you if you have confidence, not by copying them.
And your sense of humor will improve with practice. You'll find what's funny to you and learn how to express it. Joke telling is a skill like any other. Some types of audiences don't like (or admit they like) certain types of jokes.

no it seems to me you are being yourself and thats good. you like to make people laugh and their is nothing wrong with that. at least you can say your living a happy lijfe, keep being yourself. and when they get to know you they all will like you. and don't think your weird because your not.

No, I do not think you are wierd at all....maybe they are just way too serious and boring, so they dont like you. Just be yourself and youll find the right friends.
