"saddle" is a perfectly good description of it.
Mathematicians call it a hyperbolic paraboloid.

Pringles used to be round and barely fit into the can. When you opened the can and turned it over to get some chips out, you could hear the the whoosh of air slipping into the can thru the narrow gap between the chips and the side of the can. The tight fit was why there were never any broken chips.
Not anymore! They got cheap and greedy and shrank the size of the chip while leaving the size and shape of the can unchanged. Now the chip is oval and the chips rattle around in the can, so a number of them break and there are crumbs on the bottom. Sometimes the stack tips and some chips slide down along the side of the remaining stack inside the can.
It's a sad commentary on the decline of the Pringle.
