I teach freshman English at a community college. This semester I am teaching an on-line section. I will surely have the students read each other's drafts but I was hoping they could get even more feedback from the fine people who answer questions here. Would it be appropriate for my students to come here and ask people to read their drafts? They would obviously have to email the drafts to willing people. Do you think people here would be willing to help new writers in this way?

I'm a teacher and I frequently provide my email address to people on "Answers" who request proofreading and writing help. I'd be open to doing it.

I'm not in college yet, but I am a good English student. Yes, I think it's a great idea. I'd be quite willing to participate!
