It depends on the ages and abilities of the two. As a child, I used to play a game called Casino with my grandfather and have always been a fan of that one. For adults, I'd go with Gin Rummy. If you have a lot of time to occupy, Rummy 500 is good. My brother and I used to play that as kids. For younger kids or less skilled players, Go Fish.

Cribbage certainly gets my vote.Someone mentioned Casino...haven't heard of that one in 30 or 40 years.I wonder what percentage of people who play cards have ever enjoyed it.
I'd be surprised if it was 1%.Great game.
