Job ad: Factory Outlet - Positions available in our Set-up/Display/Delivery Department. Must be 18 or older. Have driver's license and reliable transportation. High school grad/GED. Willing to work. Company provides training, rapid advancement, paid vacations, bonuses.

I THINK I might know what this is, but I'm not sure. It pays $14.75 an hour, so I'd like to check it out. It's one of those blind-box ads that goes directly to the newspaper, so I can't call for info. I don't want to go through the whole process if this is not what I think it is. Thanks for any help.

By the way, I'm wondering if this is one of those jobs where they would prefer to hire a man? Thanks.

Hey Robert W., ain't anonymity great? It allows petty people like you to be rude pricks without fear of discovery - coward. If you are a national business owner, then I'm the queen of England. By the way, I'm a grown woman looking to get back into the work force after years of raising my children. And doing a little research into a job is a sensible thing to do. You would know that if you were actually a business owner.

Loosk like stocking and merchasdising - setting up displays in store. They can't cover workers under 18 on insurance if injured on the job, so there is likely some lifting to be done.

For that kind of pay for an 18 yr old, no harm, no foul if you just talk to the person that calls when you email your resume. It will only take you a few minutes of talking to figure out if you want to interview. I'd take the chance and find out - it's that person's job to let people know more about the job. Sometimes you don't know until you go on the interview if it's what you want. Don't be afraid to take a chance.

sounds like you would be delivering, setting up and displaying products. could be hard work. the pay is okay but then if the work is very hard to do then would it be enough?

there are not sure things in life.
you sound like your FEAR will keep you stuck where you are. do you get a marriage proposal from every one you date? seriously?
go spend some time find out what it is - this is not a waste of your time. you just found out what it is.
they use a blind box to eliminate un serious people (you?) same as we do. oh if you are scared it might be sales get over it everything is sales, even a job. ask your mother.

You will be selling door to door, and working strictly for commission. It is usually a rip off, and you are responsible for stolen product.

Usually even hard to get the commisison you do earn.
