There are 2 models of the cobalt SS one is a SS SC.

The regular ss has a high output 2.4L ecotec with 173hp
the SS/SC has a supercharged 2.0L ecotec with 205hp

So it may be a ss and still not have the supercharger. open up the hood and make sure

Yes it does its actually a turbo charger. The stock engine in the Cobalt SS is a 2.0 Liter with a turbo charger. Sounds kind of dumb to me though because my Cobalt LS has a 2.4L in it so why they used a smaller engine for the Super Sport is beyond me. But yes your cobalt has a Turbo Charger in it

once you're saying a street racer do you recommend someone who drives round with a fart can muffler, gaudy stickers, & retarded wings like a on-line sport? cuz not a lot if it truly is what you want. in case you recommend street racer as in wheels up 9 2d expressway passes at 3am, then you truthfully will favor to fastidiously shrink the body off the inventory chassis and promote each of the inventory operating equipment to someone stupid, call jerry haas chassis and for further or less 20 grand he will deliver you a rolling chassis, then intently re connect the body to the recent chassis, then call Reher & Morrison and for further or less 15 grand he will deliver you some horsepower, then get your self a transmision & convertor for yet another 4 grand and also you receive your self a actual street heater, cuz in case you spend money to be runnin 14 2d quarter miles, with stupid exhaust assistance and stickers & then call your self a street racer might want to easily make you seem to be a MORON! and no human being needs that. Have a most suitable day! P.S. you're able to get that vehicle to bypass 11's inspite of the indisputable fact that it's going to be more suitable than 5grand to do it, plus the fee of the vehicle. and for the 5 grand on my own you may want to bypass 11's in an older rear wheel force motorcar vehicle and all. and all those fwd eco tec 8 sec drag automobiles fee as a lot to construct as a 6 sec professional mod! and destroy factors evrery different run.
