I feel sad most of the time,i can also be irritable and feel angry over silly things. My eating habits are ok but i do tend to overeat at times, until the point where i feel sick. I sometimes feel like i'm in a daze and my mind feels slowed down. I have felt this way since my teens, and it gets worse when something bad happens. I find it hard to smile and i have trouble getting off to sleep at night. I thik about suicide and death alot too. What do you think?

My guess would be that you are definitely depressed. You should seek the advice of a counselor (psychologist) or your family doctor. They can help you out.

Depends on how old you are.

I know many teens who put on the front of being depressed and even sometimes force themselves into a depression because they want attention.

However, it is still a serious matter. If you truly cannot control some of the things you do, you might want to look into visiting a professional.

I think depression is a difficult thing to live with. Effective treatment would be therapy and medication. It is possible that you have suppressed memories that may be causing your depression, or it could be that you may be chemically imbalanced where medication would help correct this. It is important to also have a trusted friend that you can speak with and get support from.

You might be. I would speak to a counselor if you can, there are also websites online that you can go to, that ask you a series of questions that can help determine if you are. Importantly, if you are, you need to establish whether you want help and if you do where to get treatment. Good luck.
