Yes my husband does. In the beginning when I was really sick he was fine and ran around after me like a saint. Then when I started to feel better and eat, he fancied everything I did when my tummy started to stick out so did his. Then he went through a real emotional time where he was really snappy. Now he gets tired all the time and cant walk very far! Im only 22 weeks, how bad will he be in 2 months!

I was lucky to not get any negative symptoms, so the only "sympathetic pregnancy symptom" that my husband has gotten is weight gain!

My husband does not! haha I am 28 weeks pregnant.....he doesn't get any kind of symptoms....but he is sympathetic to me while im pregnant and very supportive. Thats all we need when pregnant, a ton of support. :-) Besides, i dont think the Army would like him gaining weight with me and wanting to sleep 12 hours a day! haha.

I certainly didn't... But I did notice psycologial changes within me as my partner got further into pregnancy, and I suspect it's these thing's some men mistake for sympathetic symptoms.

Yes, it's absolutely possible. There's really no physical explanation for why this happens though it's believed to be because of a strong emotional bond between the expectant mother and father. My husband who is an ob/gyn physician has seen this happen to the partners of his patients. Mostly it manifests itself in food cravings, weight gain, and sometimes morning sickness!

Yes, my husband's stomach grew and grew til it almost popped! It wasn't just beer, cos it had gone down a few days after our baby was born. And my (female) friend had sympathetic labour pains. Ha! what an easy time I had eh?

My husband gained a few pounds. Probably because I needed a strawberry milkshake every hour on the hour.

u have had manflu i am sure this is another one of those bogus illnesses men invent becos they feel it earns them the right to lye about and be waited on. whatever pain a man has no amount of sympathy will ever measure up to the discomfort and pain women go through during pregnancy and labour so wise up
