Because you can't read people very well. I always meet the people I'll be working under before I take a job. You can usually tell who is an ****** by their appearance, and the way they talk to people. Even people they are trying to make a good impression on.

P.S. 95% of people who work in the medical field are arrogant ******* with something to prove.

Maybe you need to become a little rougher at work and less of a push over.

If someone talks about someone else, don't play any part in it. If someone asks you about your life, just be polite and vague. If work is about work, it's a little harder for people to mistreat you.

I have the same problems though. People are often ignorant.

It's not luck.

1. Interview them for the job as they're interviewing you.

2. Speak up at work and don't be a pin cushion or punching bag.

You should be of more value to them than they are to you and don't put up with anyone's crap.
