My father is a police officer and usually works a midnight shift. The only place open where he can get food around that time is a Dunkin Donuts or a 7-11, so when he works nights yes he does have donuts and coffee a lot.

true story: the other night a friend of mine came in with a foil wrapped package of 6 glazed donuts. He' d been to Krystal's for coffee and a policeman had started teasing him about his brother who's a detective. Well, as my friend walked out, the cop's patrol car was there, window down, this package on the seat. So he took it. We ate the donuts and next day when he saw the officer he said, "those donuts were good." The officer said, "Did you take them? When I couldn't find them I thought maybe I'd eaten them already and just forgot."
We all had a good laugh. (we live in a small community in the south)

I used to work in a police department. The police officers I worked with didn't go out and Buy donuts but everyone would bring them in as thanks for assistance. Like when an officer saved a little boy's life, his grandma sent about 4 dozen Krispe Kreme donuts. So, I don't think they really sit around eating donuts but because people think they do they end with a lot of donuts and someone has to eat them!!!

A lot of people dont like cops so they intend to pick on them and when they watch a movie or tv they will see a overweight cop eating a doughnut and so they turn around and try to pen point that on them so the answer is no.

I don't think so, I know the ones here where I live spend all their time hanging out at the convenience stores drinking coffee, you can drive by a gas station here at any given time and one or two police cars in the parking lot

You have been watching too many movies. The 7-11 i used to go to gave the officers complimentary coffee and the officers set up a kiosk and it made people feel safe.
