Techniquely we got colds:-
- when our body immunity defense system are weak (especially a person usually awake long hours at night & continue awake in the day). To prove my answer = once you do that, when you woke up in the morning you realized you sneeze more often. If still not having proper rest highly chances the flu will attack.

- influenza viral infecting a person thru airbone. Worst if there's unknown or ignorance epidemic nearby it may travel by wind from places to places. That's why during cold season or rainy season people tense to get flu over & over again. "Especially in the office". Due to transmitting over and over again to others eventually gets the viral mutating themselves to be more tough against the antibiotics or certain flu drugs.

Cures :
- I went back to get some rest. (Take a tablet of Clarinase a non drowsy flu)
- If still need to stay awake. I'll take a tablet of Clarinase a non drowsy flu tablet when I started sneezing & feeling body immune system are weak & proceed with daily work. It's a fast fix for me.

Hope these tips will work for you as a quick fix by standing by a box of Clarinase Prescription in your Medical Aid Box at home.

You get them from a virus. That's why it cracks me up when people worry about things like wet hair. That is an old wives tale. The best way to get rid of them is to let your body kill it while you wait it out.

Simple really...Someone sneezes/coughs or leaves saliva behind on a surface, say doorknob, gas pump handle, shooping cart handle, you touch one of these surfaces shortly after wards and then rub your face, eyes, nose or mouth and voila! you now have given yourself the cold virus! Shopping cart handles are one of my biggest pet peeves! All those dirty hands and then kids chew on them...UGH! Your best bet is to stay well hydrated, well nourished and well rested, this gives your body more pwoer to fight the germies. As far as old wives tales...chicken noodle soup, tea with lemon and honey, warm baths are all good. Basically there is no cure, just has to run it's course. The rhino viruses are forever mutating making it virtually impossible to come up with a cure. My rule of thumb has also been to stay home if you have a fever and feel absolutely lousy and if you are constantly coughing or blowing your nose, stay home and don't share the joy. Common sense goes a long way. Remember, WASH YOUR HANDS before you touch your face!

The best way to get rid of colds, is to not get them in the first place. Avoiding them is far easier than getting rid of them. Don't wipe your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Stay as healthy as possible by eating right, exercising, keeping your weight down, and taking some natural immune boosting supplements like echinachea, reishi mushrooms, and the like. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

The cold bacteria can be transferred through someone sneezing on you or around you, picking it up off of door knobs and the like. WASH your hands if you think you have been exposed to someone with a cold and you have touched something they have touched. You get it through your nose or mouth. I take thera flu if I think I'm getting a cold and zinc tablets once a day.

Colds are usually spread by contact: touching someone or something they have touched. That means shaking hands, touching a light switch or a doorknob. Lots of people touch the same things on buses, stairways, escalators, you name it. If you touch anybody's hand or anything they have touched, don't touch your nose, mouth or eye until you have washed your hands with soap. Rinsing your hands with plain water accomplishes nothing.
Flush public toilets with your foot.
