how do you figure out your port number?

i need to know how to find your port number for the proxy settings

your port number? Well 80 or 8080 or 225 would be for web proxies... (http and ssl)

If its a windows program dont worry about it or select default or something...

If you want to see all open connections and ports type

netstat /n

in the command prompt...

If you've got a proxy server, ask your system administrator what you should use for settings.

If you are working from home and were simply asked what your proxy settings were, ignore it - you don't have one.
