i need some information on the POSITIVE results of the railroad, how it affected ppl's lives in a positive way etc...

Positive results...you can say that the railroad helped in the exploration and expanding on settlers in the United States. By having people settle in new areas, you are bringing new business there and so on.

It definitely made it easier to travel and in a way I guess you can say it "united" the union by making communication a lot easier throughout the nation.

The construction of the railroad also created many many jobs for men all over which is a big plus.
