1.) Don't be afraid to date younger people.
2.) Pratice Safe/Safer Sex. Wear Condoms and use dental dams. New HIV cases pop up everyday. Older people have sex all the time too. They catch things also.
3.) Don't be afraid to try online dating sites. Don't meet with anyone who will not provide you with a picture. There are crazy people out there.
4.) When going on blind-dates always meet in public.
5.) Be wary of men/women in poor financial states. People are always looking for someone to bail them out. They will prey on you. So don't give ANYONE any money until you know them really well. And never loan anyone that you are dating money.
6.)Have fun!

WELL... Since I am 50, (really 35 with 15 years experiance LOL) Single, and dating, my advice would be... To a guy: "Always treat a Woman like a Lady, even if she's not!", Don't do all the talking, sometimes, shut-up and listen as if she's the announcer of your favorite sport! & Don't sleep with her on first date... even if you both want to... It's a matter of respect!
---To the Lady I'd advise: Don't be to shy, or timid. Be bold enough to kiss him first, if it feels right. And... After first date, if you decide to sleep together, make him wear a condom... no matter if you or him hate them... both lives may depend on it! (at least until you're both tested and safe... it's the newest way of showing you care!"

Patience...the dating pool is smaller as we get older, and we tend to be more selective...
