Don't trust the subtitles. The video was seen in Arab countries, if the Arabic comments really said he was a body double, that would be the big news from the video.

If I am not mistaken, I believe I heard on the news, the Military that captured him, was to make certain it was truly Saddam, so they confiscated a hair brush from his wife, or home, to match the DNA, to know for sure; given that, I believe the US Military, Iraqi officials, and anyone else with an ventured interest, were not going to "Try and convict, and hang someone who wasn't him.......Yes, I believe he is dead, and furthermore to the repeating of questions about the hanging, the Iraqi people who lost loved ones at the hand of this dictator, handled it "their way".....so whether you believe in the death penalty or not, in this case, it does not apply....I personally think it is sad actually....that a woman many years ago, had a son.....and loved him...and due to brainwashing and greed, wanting ultimate power, that son became a monster....In the eyes of those families whom he ordered tortured and murdered......I personally am very thankful I was born here in the USA, we may have many problems, but man I am glad to be a woman here.......very sad situation the world today.........look what we are leaving behind for the children.......

The witnesses at the hanging were prominent opponents of Saddam. They seemed highly motivated to see Saddam dead, plus they knew him pretty well as President of Iraq. They appeared elated after the hanging. Somebody shouted "The tyrant has fallen." I am sure they wouldn't have reacted this way if they had any doubt about the identity of the hanged man.

Hussein was handed over to a government dominated by Kurds and Shi'ites who clearly did not benefit under Saddam's Ba'athist regime. They wanted him dead more than anyone in the world. So I believe that he is dead, as is Elvis, Tupac, and Biggie.

i think you shouldn't believe the media because people like that just say a lot of lies or things they think is correct. i'm not saying their wrong but i think you should go with the subtitles (but it could also be lieing)!

Let's just believe that he got his just desserts, and continue to live our lives and be happy. I have no time for conspiracy theories.
