On a recent episode of Flip This House in San Antonio, TX they contracted a huge tree removal for five hundred dollars. Lots of money. First they addressed the huge limbs over the house and then chopped it down from the top down and then dealt with the stump. Whew, I'm tired already.
Maybe some of your friends with chain saws could help you and then you can purchase that stuff you put into the center of the tree trunk so it can dissolve and decay itself away.
