I wrote a book (published) and now want to put it into libraries. How do I go about doing that? Whom should I talk to? What agencies procure books for libraries?

The time to start promoting your book is before it is published. You would submit it to the appropriate library-related magazines as a galley or advance reader copy. The editors would consider it for review, then send it to a reviewer for comment. (Submission of your book does not guarantee a review.)

Since you have already published your book, you may want to place an advertisement in a library-related magazine to inform librarians that it is available.

The magazines to investigate are:
Library Journal
School Library Journal
KLIATT
VOYA
Choice
American Libraries
Public Libraries
Publisher's Weekly
ForeWord Magazine

The Public Libraries are owned by the city councils so you would need to contact the Library services department of the city councils.

For University Libraries you just contact the Manager of the Library at each University. They should be able to help.
