Take off the radiator cap when the car is cool! turn on the car and look at the water. In no more than 10 minutes you should see the water going down if it does and it still overheats you waterpump is bad or your thermostat might not be opening on time. If water does not begin to flow and it overheats it has to be a bad thermostat. Or like someone else mentioned radiator might be clogged. Look at the water pump and see if it leaks. Water pumps have weap holes the water starts coming out when you need to replace the pump. Hope it helps. Always start with the cheapest and easiest to fix. Thermostat.

have it towed to a garage and have a pressure test done. do not drive the car if it overheats. a pressure test will put pressure in the system and anywhere there is a leak it will cause coolant to leak out of. its a tool that technicians use. Thats what needs to be done to find where the leak is.

it could be a bad radiator cap
the cap normally allows the cooling system to pressurize if the system doesn't pressurize overheating is common
the cap is cheap and easy for you to change yourself
you can get it pretty much anywhere auto parts are sold.

No pressure in some would indicate a closed thermostat. Change the thermostat.

could be any thing from a thermostat bad to water pump out or a clogged radiator

I would 1st check the thermostat and see if it is stuck open.... Then if not I would check the water pump... After that you most likely have a air pocket and will need to have your system put under a vacuum to remove the air pocket then it should work like a champ.
