Specifically, anywhere in the US, but I'm fairly certain it's illegal everywhere in the US, so if you know of a location elsewhere that it is legal, I'd like to know that, too.

Come now, people. I ask this question in all seriousness, not intending to marry any siblings myself, but simply because I'm curious. I'd appreciate it if I got a serious answer, rather than variations on "Eww!" or "Why would you want to do that?"

I think that in the US, the closest relative that you are legally able to marry, is a second cousin.

It depends. If they are physically related, meaning their parents are the same, or at least one of the parents is the same, then they are not allowed to marry. Period. They share the same blood, and there is a potential of defective babies. Because the law states that, I don’t think they can marry even if they are not physically able to have babies. The law is the law. The only way is to have no record on file (the government) about being related. At least one of them would have to have a different legal parent from day one, and have unknown real parents/ or the wrong ones so there is no relation. Now, if they are siblings because the parents married, but still, they is not physical relation (do not share the same blood), then some things must be done. To start with, you have to see the law in the state you are, but more likely one of them will have to change the status so there is no legal relation. I think the only thing possible to do is to divorce the parents, so they are legally not attached anymore. Otherwise, the parents would have to divorce, or in any case, marry after the siblings get marry. For this last option, you are better investigating the law as I might be wrong and there might be ways to marry if is proven that there is no blood relation. PS. If you are looking into law controversies, then you don’t have to look too far. As of today, more than half the legal system is going into a spiral of retarded controversies due to the fact they keep on expanding the law to accommodate all this people that have legal suits, or keep on adding ridiculous copy righted material or patents, etc, etc. Compare the law today with 40 or 50 years ago, and you’ll see what I am talking about.

Siblings are not allowed to marry even if they are only half siblings. That is incest and is illegal.
Step-brothers and sisters are allowed to marry.
