I don't even like Bush, or like the idea of war, getting maimed and killed, but who would I be if I ran away? A coward, and above all dishonoring the ones that are fighting for our country.

I hope he doesn't start the draft, because his wars don't honor our country like WWII did. But if he did I would select a branch of the military rather than have one selected for me.

Probably not the Navy or Airforce since I would be claustrophobic on a ship don't want to pilot planes. The Rangers would be an honor, Marines as well. I'd feel better on the ground.

I think people would protest and it would never come to the draft.

First of all, it's not Bush but the Democrats who are floating the idea of a draft. Some Democrats want America to "really feel it" so they've proposed bringing back the draft. It will not happen anytime soon, though.

But, for the sake of argument, let's say there would be a draft. I would fight to the death for my country. I tried joining after 9/11 but my asthma prohibted me from doing so. I assume I will be barred again if there was a draft. But were that no problem I would fight for my country and I would fight for liberty.

I would probably move to England. I am not good with guns and I can't bear to kill another person. To be in the military is something I don't want to do because I am a really sensitive person who just can't take explosions or gun fire very well. I know I am an American, but I know I can still be patriotic without having to fight in a war.

But overall, I think this would result in another Vietname; Lots of protests.

I've already served, but I'd tell the draft board where to find you.
