Since you forgot the password the only way will be to gain access and change the password in the process. You will need to have your XP Disk to perform this procedure. It does work. Several of my friends have had to use it to get into the computers their children changed the password on.

It depends on what verison of windows. If you are using 98 then just click cancel. If you are using XP, does anyone else have access to your machine? If not try logging on as an admin as most people do not lock this account out. When the welcome screen pops up press ctrl+alt+delete and a Login window should open. Username Administrator and no password. If that does not work try doing a Yahoo search because there are many way around it...but mostly illegal (we can only take your word that you own the computer...you probably do but better safe than post illegal things on Yahoo Answers)

there is a way to find out. If you put a hint for your password then go to the question mark you see. And a bubble should pop up and give you a hint of the password. Or you could reinstall everything back into your computer.

I believe when you enter the password, there is a hint for the password. This only works if you gave yourself a hint when you created the password. Good luck with that.
