I'm not sure Rommel ever oversaw prison camps so I'm sure he didn't personally. In general, aside from a few incidents, British and American prisoners (the two Rommel's forces would have gotten) were treated respectably in German prison camps (Soviet ones were treated barbarically).

there is no extant information that i am aware of that substantiates such a claim, however one can surmise a scenario in northern Africa where during his campaigns captured prisoners were probably zealously interrogated by his staff and subordinates that hew most certainly had to be aware of. this should not be construed as condemning Rommel as instances like this occurred in every aspect and situation in war

first of all of your assumption that American troops torture POW's is about ninety 5% incorrect. the answer ot your question is certain, I easily have had the privilege to understand various former American POW's that were captured by the eastern contained in the Philippines. They survived and thrived. They were tortured by the eastern guards, and maximum of them died quite youthful. inspite of the indisputable fact that the were given out alive. And there have been many survivors of the German concentration camps. for sure i do not ignore that those human beings do not qualify as torture survivors to you , because the U. S. did not try this to them, yet liberated them.

Never accused of it, and probably did not. His enemies always regarded him as an honourable soldier, but if they could have discredited him with accusations of prisoner abuse they would have done.
