My science fair project is on which burns out faster: a 60 watt or a 100 watt light bulb. I know it simple, that's the point. But I don't know what I should do research on. I already have facts on why lightbulbs have different watts and the lightbulbs history. What else should I research? I have to write a six paragraph essay.

That is an interesting project, but it may be difficult to show that there is any difference between the two. How long do you have for your project? Some bulbs last a long time. It might be easier, for example, to compare two 60 watt bulbs of different brands. I know that in our house we see a difference with different brands. Then in your essay you could write about the different costs of the bulbs and maybe even a little about the different companies that make the bulbs if you can discover who makes them.

I know this did not really answer the question you asked, but I hope it helps. Best of luck with your project.

The key to this question is the word "research". You HAVE to do the research! Just because you know the facts, you still need the "why". You need a science fair project that you can actually do the research on . It doesn't sound like you're willing to put forth the effort on this one.

Its more dependant on the quality of the bulb than the output. You could determine if more expensive bulbs are worth the extra cost:
What is the number of hours of light / dollar spent for various manufacturers of light bulbs.

It doesn't matter what the wattage is. the wattage provides the lumen. which bulb burns out faster depends on which bulb has been used longer.if in an experiment, both are runned together, they will both last as long.
