Hi
Im 36 this year, i very much do regret not having children. However, its only until now i feel like this because i am with the right person and a strong relationship. So... in a way I feel it was for the best cause i would of been a single mother. Previous partners I was with did not really give me the urge to have a family with so I do not regret having kids with them. Just wished I met the person Im with years ago. Still time though!

I have no regrets. My family was totally messed up...my ex-husband and I were very immature...I knew we would make lousy parents since we never resolved a single conflict (my ex gave me the silent treatment-hard to work things out when one of you isn't speaking).
Even though I was in better shape emotionally to be a parent, my last long-time partner was very self-centered, and wanted kids just like they had wanted a home, a dog, etc that they later grew tired of...
Now, I'm glad I didn't have children...My past damaged me for a long time, and I didn't want to take any chances that I would make even one of the horrendous mistakes my parents had..they tried their best, but frankly, it was awful...I am glad I was fed, clothed, and sheltered, and am very thankful for an education, but if a man and/or a woman aren't sure about having a child, please don't...

I'm 26 and not planning on having kids. But I'm not sure why you said 36 or older, lots of women have children well into their 40's these days. HTH : )

NO! I have no regrets whatsoever. I see all the problems my friends have with their kids being out of control and I am so glad that I never had kids. I have three cats that dont ask for money, the keys to the car, or if their teenage girlfriend can spend the night. My boyfriend has three kids and I do have a niece and nephew that I can spoil if I want. And I am 39.

I had my last child at the age of 44, so at 36 there is still plenty of time to have children!
Jeez, someone has a problem with that? Unbelievable what gets a thumb down these days! My husband wanted a boy, is that okay with you?
By the way, all you "I wouldn't want to bring children into the world today" people ... let's ALL stop having children and let the human race die out! What a great idea!
Children are our future, in case you didn't realize it. It is the kids that will make the world a better place than the one we live in now.

I know a person who died at 49, and never had their own child, they did adopt, mine, and never wanted any of his own. I know people who had children at 15, and don't want them! But who would want to bring children up in to days world??
