When you call someone from your cell and get a busy signal, does it count against your minutes?

Reason I ask. The other day, Oprah Winfrey tickets came available for 5 hours. So, I dedicated my day to get them. If I estimate using my call log, I called Oprah about 1,700 times in 5 hours. My husband is gonna flip if our bill comes and that's on there! But i thought if it was a busy signal it didn't connect?

I would say if it's a busy signal that pops up, then no, it shouldn't count as your minutes. It would be rediculous if it did, because you never actually did connect. Hope I helped!

PS - Did you get the tickets?

This is where most people make their mistakes - your call DID connect. If it was a busy signal, that simply meant that your call connected and the line was busy and your call couldn't go through w/ the number of people on the line. Sorry.

Mine counts because it is still taking up airspace. But so many plans are different. Call yours and find out if it does.

Honestly, I think it counts as a whole minute. That's how I got my cell phone taken away when I was younger.

You should probably call your cell phone provider and get the correct answer for this one.

Best wishes!

With my plan, I don't get charged if someone doesn't pick up. I only get charged if I speak to someone or an answering machine. HTH!
