I don't know if I count (I'm FTM), but I've never faked it. If my girlfriend isn't doing the job, I do the following things (usually in the following order):
1) See if I can fix my opinion of the situation by changing the position or act.
2) Tell her what I don't like about what she is doing /or/ Tell her what I want.
3) Get her to finish up with some act that doesn't hinge on whether or not I can get off /or/ Say I want to stop /or/ (and I'm not particularly proud of it even though I have done it) Think about something besides her that will work enough for me that I don't need to fake it.
I see too many honest ways out of the situation to just fake it. And I wouldn't stay with someone who couldn't get the job done for me most of the time anyway.

I can't speak for all of the women, but I'm definitely a man that has faked it a few times myself. Sometimes you get so tired of the whole thing that you just want to take a nap and that's the easiest way to finish fast.

I don't fake it. Faking it is pointless. It'll just mean it takes that much longer to get there with your partner, and/or he'll think whatever he did when you faked it was the way to get you there.
However, lots of women do it, but I don't get why

According to Joan Rivers all women fake it at one time or another and they have to be really good actresses to pull it off. She said gay men have it easy. When they fake it all they have to do is spit on their partners back.
(I can equate anything to something gay)

No. I feel this way about it. Either I have the big O or I don't. I'm not going to waste my time pretending.

I don't think so. The interesting question is: why do they feel they have to?
